We hire a car so we have freedom to check out all the surf breaks. Year before last we stayed at a lovely homestay just behind the mosque for 100,000rp per night, last year we stayed at Baliaan and drove to Medowi, ate lunch at Medowi Bungalows and stayed all arvo as it was raining and youngest son was having a good surf. At Baliaan we stayed at Baliaan Surf Bungalow for 150,000rp for the four of us. Had the bungalow to ourselves and it was beautiful, cows in a paddock and then the beach.
