the counter at the airport definately closes 30 minutes before the flight takes off.If you go up later than this you WILL miss out on claiming your tax back.
Would you believe that one trip we thought we were all organised BUT we left our receipts in our carry on luggage.Because we had a laptop our carry on weighed too much so we had to take it out & put the 1 carry on bag as checked in luggage - guess which bag had our receipt for claiming back out tax ? Yep - you guessed it ,the carry on that we had checked in - that had the receipt in it!
Lucky we were able to claim the tax back through the business when we got back otherwise we would have missed out !Needless to say that after that trip any tax receipts went into the same folder as our passports & tickets.
