sidebar, you said quote "we frankly have no idea what you are batting on about." unquote

I have to wonder sidebar, why you are taking my comments so personally??

you said quote "We are just trying to plan our trip to Bali and got great feedback from barmerababe and just 'hints and allegations' from you." unquote

Did you come on here to only get "great feedback"?? Why take it personally because I had some negative comments?? I also posted positives about the villa. After all, you have no financial interest in this property. If it was me asking advice about a place, I would be thankful to hear all sides and take the negative as well as the positive in to account.

Ok, you asked, I will tell you.

There were 2 major concerns.

As we were staying in such a remote and private place, I took the chance to sunbathe topless. My friend then noticed a worker in the field (which was vegetable by the way, not rice at the time) who was watching us. I immediately put a top on as I felt self conscious. He then took the chance to come over and talk to us and tell us he also worked as security for the villa and would be on duty that night. This made us feel quite uncomfortable and we were uneasy that night knowing he was the only staff member on and as far as I know, we were the only guests. Now I am not saying he had any inappropriate intentions, but I think it would have been far more discreet of him, not to have approached us while we were enjoying what we thought was the privacy of our villa.

I believe it to be worth mentioning as many couples staying at the villa may engage in activities outdoors which are usually restricted to closed doors. If they do, they should be aware that they are not completely alone.

The next situation ocurred when the staff delivered our evening meal.
When they brought it in, the resident dog wandered in with them. Now my friend and I are dog lovers and have made friends with many dogs in Bali. However, when the staff left, they didn't take the dog with them. After sniffing around for a while, the dog then stood looking at us and barking aggressively. When I tried to encourage him to leave, he stood his ground and continued to bark. I had to ring the staff to come back and get him. About 5 minutes later, the dog pushed through the door and stood barking at us again. We had to ask the staff to once more remove the dog, although I am sure they would have heard him barking, I was curious as to why they didn't come to investigate themselves. There was no apology just a smirky smile as if we were concerned about nothing.

The following morning when we were leaving, the dog was sitting on the ledge of the security box and when he saw us he started barking and growling again. We were frightened to go past him to leave the villa property. We couldn't get to any staff area without the dog becoming more agressive so we went back to our villa to call staff on the phone. The phone went unanswered after several calls. Eventually we had to pluck up the courage to go past the dog to leave the villa, whilst we made no eye contact, he continued to bark and growl at us.

As I said, we are dog lovers, so I can only imagine how traumatic this situation would have been for children or anyone unsure of dogs.

How on earth can she do this unless she was there at the time or has a vested interest in Tamu group?

Whether, I reported these problems to management at the time, does not negate the fact that they happened. My action was to choose to not stay there again, which is my perogative.

Anyway, I am sure with all the positive, glowing reports from barmerababe, franthefan, markthespark, pottslad and crew, you can hardly go wrong!!
