be in the centre of things at Kuta. 3 minute walk to the beach and accross the road is the Kuta Art Market. Stadium sports bar underneath, noise not too intrusive, agree, stay in the deluxe rooms overlooking the garden/pool side, not the street side. Good facilities, big step into the bathtub for the shower, well appointed deluxe rooms as not that old, only hitch is that when you take the keycard out of your room, the aircon goes off, but it cools down pretty quickly. In room safe good, nice honest staff, Jack at breakfast makes nice eggs and pancakes, lovely orchid garden, good for taking photos, two pools, one is divided into shallower section if you have kids, laundry service a bit slow (not same day and you have to remind them to get your stuff back)maybe drop off stuff at local laundry cheaper and quicker, we stayed there 10 days in 2003 and enjoyed it but now we travel around instead of staying in one place.
