Its a very thoughtful piece. All the fuss about the downturn has been about hotel occupancy and so on but it is all the others dependent on tourism that suffer as well. It must have been heartbreaking for the dancers having to perform in front of only 10 people in a theater that takes 600. Even though some tourists are slowly returning it will take a long time for the recovery to filter down to all those who depend on kecak and other tourist attractions to make a living for their families. Maybe there will be a return to agriculture.
