10 packets of paper dominoes. They probably sell for about 700rph at a supermarket. In Dec, 2005 is was one rainy night in Poppies 2 and there were absolutely no tourists and bought 10 packets of paper/cardboard dominoes for 10 000 rph a set. It was my 14th trip to Bali, but the balinese had no business, so I played the game and let them think I I thought that I was getting a really good deal. I can still hear the laughter, and see the HUGE smiles on their faces after I walked off. 100 000 rph is only a small amount to us Aussies, but to them I am sure it was the only business they had had in weeks. Their laughter was priceless. Buying the dominoes at Matahari would not have been that much fun, and I didn't need them anyway. I guess it was kinder than just giving them a handout. Left their dignity intact. Mind you we do support some of our local friends, but I feel that is different.
