You lucky thing. Exmouth is beautiful. Make sure you get out to Yardie (spelling?) Creek and stop off and the beautiful beaches along the way. Also try and get out to Coral Bay (about 1 hour out of Exmouth.) It is amazing up there with the beautiful beach and the protected waters and the large fish that swim around your legs.
Anyway - sorry - back to Bali. Domestic and Internation are seperate airports but not too far away from each other. There is a shuttle that runs between the 2 but friends that have used the shuttle said that it wasn't all that frequent and found it quicker to catch a cab instead. I have never been delayed on a flight to or from Bali to Perth but I know alot of people who have. I would play it safe and stay overnight if it was me. The flight back to Perth arrives at around 11:30pm so if you short on time then you could book a flight back to Sydney for the following morning then any small delays would not be a problem. There is no hotel actually situated at the airport unlike most other capitals but there is a small hotel about 2kms away called Comfor Inn Bel Eyre. Friends that have stayed there have said that it is very basic and cheap but it is a bed. They don't generally book this hotel in advance. There is apparently an information centre on the ground floor of the international airport and there is a telephone that conects directly to a hotel booking service. They just request this hotel if they need it and get a cab or shuttle or something there for the night.
I hope that this helps and I am sure others may have some other suggestions.
