We have been back only 3 hours and after travelling for many many hours I am totally jet lagged....about to go to bed but starting to get the Bali blues...after 3 1/2 weeks travelling thruout Bali I am going thru withdrawals.
Will write a JBR soon. Have to say we only had 4 days total of sun as it is really raining hard this year...the last 2 days were sun and we were in Legian so could totally relax and have some Santai! (relax time). Last year it only rained an hour a day or so...this time especially when we were in Ubud it rained monsoon like for hours and hours..still hot but nothing dried...very good we had some sun before we left..will write soon. also about our wonderful driver who I highly recommend to one and all....Nyoman Oka...he is our friend and we were with him last year too...he is mid thirties, has 2 children, kind, good driver, never takes you anywhere you don't want to go...always includes wonderful places and rice paddies or most scenic to drive thru...great stops for lunches with great views, will do shopping as well...knows a lot of good stores..takes no commission, does exporting too is you need statues or goods shipped....twice my husband was sick and he went right to the pharmacy and bought stuff for him..which we paid him back..totally trustworthy and indeed a wonderful human being...I will send Nyoman's number in next few days..he is on the internet only 2 times a week so you can call his mobile directly...If there is a Penny out there he says he knows you and you are coming in March and will have him as your driver..isn't he great...I cried when we left him....sometimes there were 4 of us and he rented bigger vehicles for that..all with air con...off to sleep now...Leslie (Mutti)
