we are arriving approx. 28 march and a local told me last time that most things are closed for about three days. i've never been there for nyepi before so don't know. i guess if most things are closed it will give us a chance to relax by the pool for some well deserved r&r. i've heard that shops etc start to open the day after so the three days may only apply to balinese. i have also heard (probably from the forum) that guards are in the streets and send you back to your hotel if you go out. not sure if this is actually true though.
