14-25september...
Up early, group of 5 of us head out to melb airport ready for paradise again!
1 of the members had never been before so i think she was in for a big shock, the other 3 had only been once before(with us last year) and this is my 5th trip!
Arrive at airport a bit too early, but check in line for airparadise was really really long...
Again, cannot fault air paradise, crew were great! The cabin supervisor cynthia i have known for the last 3 years so was great to catch up with her again....
Arrive in Bali, Took us about 1 and a half hours to get thru airport(as 3 planes landed b4 us)
Finally got to pelangi and i automatically feel back at home...
For all you forumities that were saying that they had an awful experience there, they are now starting to completly gutter the rooms, so i think it will be a nice change when they are all finished..
Staff at pelangi wonderful as always, but downside is the hawkers(for everyones whos been there, u know what i mean) Youd think after 4 years they would try to leave u alone just a little! dosent happen, but all in all pelangi was great, We ate out at zanzibar, tekor bali(best salmon and avocado salad in bali!), also uncle norms and lucky days which is on jl abimanyu...
I did tend to do most of my shopping on the beach as i found that there was quite a good selection.
Last 3 nights we were moved to ramada bintang in tuban as pelangi were overbooked(they assured this wouldnt happen again), it was a nice change as i always stay at the one place.
The whole hotel is just amazing, the rooms are great and have a nice sized verandah, pool is fantastic, i think it would be ideal for those wanting a relaxing holiday, for us we felt that it didnt have a lot of atmosphere but each to their own...
We saved a lot of the shopping for kuta, Places we went were jenney's shop(opposite the dynasty) she is a fixed price but they are very cheap, so stocked up on skirts (rp,20,000 each) and tank tops(rp,25,000 each), We found the most amazing restaurant called febri's, right next to daddys cafe, it has the most amazing garlic prawns and vanilla milkshakes, and very cheap as well...
I feel very sad to be back, trying to get into the normal swing of things again, but only 140days till next trip...
Flight back was fine, i wa on my own as others stayed on for extra 4 nights...Flew airparadise business class which was great again, economy food but the extra leg room really helps, and that airport lounge at denpasar is fantastic(especially the free beer)
Hope this didnt bore you too much, im not going to go into prices what i paid, but this was just to give you a brief journey into paradise...If you would like any more info, i will be pleased to answer....
