arrived in Bali and through customs etc very quickly with no one wanting to see anything. the weather is heaps milder than when i go in March.
off to the Ramayana hotel near Kuta Art market. Had sent an email as to how the 8 of us would be sharing the rooms but of course no idea about any email when we got to their temporary reception ( a new one is nearly finished) so they just told me to organise the rooms so behind reception i go and fill in all the nec. forms and tell them what were doing get the keys and off we go to check in to the poolside cottages. worked out well had 4 of them next to each other and all close to the pool. These rooms have been renovated with mosquito nets plus safes and DVDS plus small dining settings on the verandah so very nice. Just happened had the same room ive had twice before so felt right at home.
As usual couldnt decide what to do first. settled on a few drinks as between 11 of us ,as a few friends had arrived prior, had quite a cocktail selection with the 4 free bottles we had also been given by the duty free shop.
Decided to try a few new places this trip so booked Khaima the Moroccan rest which turned out to be a good choice.
they had the bellydancers start around 9 pm and entice people to join in. Off course try to shrink down a bit in the chair to become invisible for the few minutes whilst trying to gather volunteers but wasnt long before Mrs B. is up doing her own extremely hilarious bellydance much to the amusement of the three guys directly behind her who almost had her on their lap. It was one of those times that if you didnt turn away with the tears already running down your face that i think we also wouldve wet our pants. Cant remember the prices but think they were reasonable definately worth doing though. even though i was a bit tired i was on a roll so suggested we try and find Hulus for the drag show as it was nearing 10 pm...Cont
