Roo_Ted is correct. We did our sponsorship through the Rotary Club of Swan Valley in WA. Noel Allen is the contact at noel@lonarch.com.au. If you send me your email address I will send you the link to it. I rang Agung a couple of days earlier and arranged to meet the first time on a Saturday, which is their preferred days for visitors so it doesn't disrupt the children too much. We took the bikes up the following Wednesday and they didn't mind. Before I left I just did an archived search for sponsorship and got some ideas of other forumites what to take. We took our little girl a nice brush, toothbrush, Cinderella powder, some colorful books and a nice case with crayons, pencils, rubbers etc. For our little boy we gave him similar "boyish" things. Our friends also took up some bulk writing books, pencils, rulers etc for the school. We also heaps of lollies for all the children to share. They loved it.

Please take the time to do this sponsorship. It only costs $110 a year per child (tax deductible) and that gives the child their books, school uniforms, sports uniforms, 2 pairs of shoes, ties, sox, back pack, vitamins and innoculations. Its well worth it. We have sponsored children before through World Vision but nothing compares to meeting your child.

Wendy, if you email Noel asap, I'm sure he can organize a child for you before you go in October. There are 120 children at Sembung 7 and I believe only 70 are sponsored currently.
