if anyone is interested - My Question to IsCard was...

I've just come across your website www.iscard.com and I'm interested in an overseas calling card to be used from Bali (Indonesia) back to Australia (where I reside) as I will be travelling there soon.
Are the rates on your site a true indication of what I would be charged if I use your card? ie. $0.449USD per minute. Is it easily accessable to use from Bali?
Does the call go from Bali to US to Australia or is it direct from Bali to Australia? Is there a physical card that you mail out or do we just get emailed the details of our card?

Their Reply....

The rate $0.449USD, as shown at our website, www.iscard.com, is the rate you will be charged for a call to a landline in Australia from Indonesia, of which Bali is a part. If your call is to a mobile phone in Australia the rate is $0.85USD.

Currently, our records indicate that all originations are allowed; however, some payphone operators may block access to toll-free numbers.

Depending on the factors, a call may travel from Bali to U.S. to Australia or from Bali to Australia direct. It depends on how the call is routed at the time, but the call travels over a tier-1 digital line for optimum quality; never over the Internet.

We do offer physical cards to U.S. postal addresses at $10 each, otherwise, all you really need is the toll-free access number and your PIN number to place a call. The access-numbers are available to you once you login to your account at the website, www.iscard.com.

This is the cheapest phonecard I've been able to find to date. I hope this helps anyone else
