If you start at one end of Jl Double 6 (either end, it doesn't matter) and just start walking toward the other end, you'll find more sarong wholesalers than you can poke a stick at - and spend a fortune in the process, lol.
Shop around - they all have great (fixed) prices, but they have different styles and some are nicer than others. My fave one was Putri Emas, which was one of the first ones on the right side as you head toward the beach from Jl Legian end. I'm not sure if she's still there though, as I didn't go there this last trip. She had stunning sarongs and the most I paid for any there was under Rp30,000 each - including hand painted ones. Plenty there that had shells, sequins, embroidery etc. The basic batik ones were around Rp10,000 each at the end of 2003 - I'm sure they'd be similar prices still.
Not sure about chiffon tops, but if you ask they'd let you know.
