of chlorine in a pool.
The green in the hair is algae growing. Check Ph and add chlorine!
Hair can go green because the agae suspended in the water of a pool "latches" on to the hair and grows rapidly.
Using hair dyes, sprays, etc can accelerate the process.
This is usually caused by the pool water being the wrong Ph, (too alcaline or usually too acidic), and the chlorine that is in the pool is not active.
If you get green hair from a pool its from lack of chlorine, not too much. Chlorine kills bacteria (in this case algae).
If you can smell chlorine when near a pool the Ph level is not ideal, (beware: eyes, ouch!) and the chlorine is producing gas.
