You certainly will not find playgrounds as the island is extremely basic. However our children have been going yearly for five years and they play with the balinese children on the beach, especially soccer.

There are plenty of under $50 places. We stay at Puri Nusa which has a family bungalow but not suitable for small children as it has very steep steps to the top floor. The Mandura has rooms with doubles and singles, the surfers cafe, Ketuts has aircon rooms that they would add beds too.

Coconuts is not all that child friendly and definately over $50 per night. Prehaps the bed and breakfast may be somewhere that you are interested in, used to be called Patu's but now it is Wayans Manor.
