Tjampuhan,
We stayed there in June and would not hesitate returning again. Beautiful grounds, rooms over looking the river, cant see other rooms from your balcony because its so well laid out.
Rooms are pretty nice , spacious although not very modern but the beautiful staff, breakfasts(best banana pancakes), grounds more than make up for it. Plenty of close resturants and a free on call shuttle into the heart of Ubud at any time (Not that its much of a walk but handy after one too many cocktails at cafe Wayans :) )
Lots of stairs though so no good if you have dicky knees. by far the most stunning hotel grounds I have ever stayed at. And nothing beats waking to the sounds of the old villagers sweeping the paths and strategically placing georgous frangipanis all over the hotel grounds. beautiful Hotel very balinese, loved it. That said there are no rice patty views but seeing squirrels in the trees (its like you are in the middle of the jungle) and all those lovely geckos........

Ahh to be back :)
