allergy (anaphylactic), so this was a concern of our before we went there with her for the first time. Apparently, as peanut oil is relatively expensive, it really isn't used much these days (if at all). We were concerned about utensils being cross-contaminated from dishes such as satay, even if we were careful with what we ordered. Turns out we needn't have worried at all. We've now spent 7 weeks in total in Bali in the last couple of years, without incident. Obviously we are careful about what we order - she was more than happy with the choices available, though. We also acrried antihistamine & 2 epi pens. If you do a search on this forum & put in "peanut allergy" you'll find loads of into that various people, including myself, have shared with eachother Amongst that info is a sentence in Bahasa which reads "my child is allergic to peanut products & will have to hospital if she/he eats any" - I'm sure someone here like Badak Sinting will be able to help you change the sentence slightly to suit your needs. We found, though, that English sufficed pretty much everywhere we went (and we were fairly adventurous with our travels at times). Hope this helps reassure you a bit. Cheers, Sue.
