A few of the best places we ate at in the "very affordable" price range (lunch for two with a large Bintang about 50,000rp, give or take - Dinner gets up towards 100,000rp due to multiple bintangs and more food!
Warung Taman near the Ubud Market (check lonely planet guide for location). Run by chinese expat from Jakarta. His food is very good and is fusion chinese/indo. Great squid. Cap cay the best we had.
Made's Warung in the Penestanan padis a couple of times. Very good and cheap indo with the ever smiling and happy Made in attendance. Great setting for a warung.
A small restaurant well worth a visit for a very good indo meal at an excellent price with complimentary fresh fruit desert is Roda Restaurant in Jl Kajeng (runs of Jl Raya just west of the market). It is upstairs in a lovely open air situation. One of our new favourites :-)
Although a touch dearer there is Cafe Wayan & Bakery, Jl Monkey Forest. Same as always, great setting, good staff and prices not over the top. Mid priced Indo with attitude! Had lunch there. Was more like 100,000rp but them again I think we had 2 large bintang!
