Hi balilou, only too glad to give help, only wish we knew where to go for help the first time we went to Bali, it would have saved us so much money & hassels. We only recommend people we are totally happy with as far as service & price, & people we will use again & again. When going to Bali please just don't think of taking things you will use. Balinese have been doing it very tough since 9/11. Please go through your wardrobe & pack clothes you no longer want & just give them away to just about any hawker or market girl. Especially childrens cloths are very much appreciated. We took nearly 2 suitcases full of op-shop & 2nd. hand clothes. The feeling of giving is fantastic. This left us with plenty of luggage room for our shopping on the return trip.
Must takes :-
"sunscreen" (very expensive there)
"Immodiam" from the chemist(in case of the runs)
" Panadol" in case of hangover or headache.
"Insect repellant" non aerosol, Skintastic is great, by Johnson's.
Most other things as far as toiletries avaiable @ the supermarkets @ good prices.
"small calculator" to do your own conversions.

Clothing :- swimmers, shorts, tank tops or tee's plus a sun frock for maybe going out to dinner. If you are size 10/12 or larger try on before you by clothing as so often they do not fit. Our size 12 could be XXL. Laundry is very cheap, $6.00 p.w. for 2 adults changing daily.
Can't think of anything else of the top of my head.
Hope this helps.
