"what's going on" has nothing to do with being australian or not. The new police chief is cleaning house in all of Indonesia, not just bali. They are targeting drugs, prositution and gambling. People of all nationalities are being caught up in this including locals, they are not targeting australians. The thing is if you have nothing to do with these illegal activities you've got nothing to worry about. The australian media only tells you about australian arrests and if this were happening any where else in the world other than bali, you probably wouldn't hear much about it at all. It your choice where you go but I would not cancel
