need to try doing a search for some of the things you have asked, you will get lots of responses. I have not been to Kuta Lagoon, can't help you there, never used piblic transport only taxis and drivers. You will find taxis are so cheap you can use them everywhere and they are readily available. You will be asked a thousand times a day do you need transport, many are recommended on this forum or find someone you are comfortable with. I can give you the name of someone if you wish. You will find outside your hotel as all others there will be numerous drivers hanging around trying to get your business. Changing your money is easy. Take cash, pay your Visa on Arrival in Aus dollars (give crisp new $50.00 notes for each person)and you will get rupiahs in return. This will give you enough for a taxi from airport if you don't have transfers. Use Kodak shop money changers, you will be given a receipt on most occasions. They will count money for you, sometimes twice, you do the same at the counter, don't walk away. Change $100.00 at a time and then you have an idea of what you are getting. As for shopping, try Geneva's for all your gifts for friends and it is fixed price so you won't have to get into the bargaining straight away. Dvd, Cd, shops are everywhere as are day spas, others on here will recommend but if I was you I would definetely try the search for each question.
