the airline wont charge you for it. most new & secondhand boards are about the same price as aust, as surfboards are imported into bali, if you want to surf soon as you land take one as you might not find the bargain board your looking for for some days. have seen the odd tourist walking around with for sale stuck on there board because they have run out of money. buying a board in perth try ross at scarborough longboards, he has a few secondhand boards and you have a better chance of having a board that is ideal for your style of surfing...happy travels...jon
