When there 18 months ago we bought a really lovely chess set that folds into a carved case with removable legs that turn it into a low chess table when unfolded. It came complete with carved pieces as well as checkers pieces as well. I cant remember the price but you can find them easily if you look around. But some are carved better than others so have a good look and shop around
