The word is Lawak or like that, can't find it in my dictionaries.
If you're heading West from Denpasar, Tiara Grosir etc, it's on your left and this is where a lot of thieved gear ends up, including motor parts, they say.
An acquaintance, who was running Ned's Place Bar, which is now no more, in Legian, had his car jacked up and his four new tyres for his pride-and-joy Holden stolen; they went in the boot for the spare even.
Searched high and low for replacements without success. A staff member recommended he seek out Pasar Gelap, literally Dark Market, which is never in the same place for more than a few days and seems to operate early morning. Sure enough, he was offered 'morrrrneeenk price for a lovely set of, you guessed it, his five tyres. He happily paid up!
That's our Bali for you####****
