dido to what Mic said but thought I might also add that we went to the Bali zoo last month. We had our 3yr old with us so decided to do a day of things for him.
I was plesantly surprised with the Bali zoo. Most of the Animals are really happy and they are all obviously well taken care of. The Orangatan (sp?) is a bit of a grumpy one- I caught a big bunch of banana's with my head that he hurled at us with amazing precision!LOL
One of the Camels names is Monsor (dunno how they spell it but that is how it is said) if you call his name he will came over to the fence to score a scratch from you. He was lovely- he closed his eyes and rested his head on my hand while I patted him :O)
The Monkey forrest is also just a short drive away too. We went to the zoo in the morning and then the monkey forrest. I would recomend doing this if you are taking little kids as by the afternoon the monkeys have had plenty to eat and are not so aggressive at getting the bananas :O)
Anyway- enjoy :O) our little guy had a fantastic day.
