I have kennels and deal with all sorts of dogs. One thing I've found with the Bali dogs is that almost without fail they are always hungry. If you try the no eye contact trick and aren't that happy with stone throwing I wonder if the best thing you could do is throw them something to eat?
Whilst I'm obviously experienced and confident with dogs, some of them put the wind up me. You could get something like dentabones or hide chews here and take them with you. They take a bit of chewing and wouldn't be gulped down too quickly. I think they will just become instant friends, and you may not be able to shake them off!!
One thing, don't feed if there is a pack, you could cause a fight. My daughter & I used to feed the dogs on the beach until we caused the one lowest on the pecking order to take a hiding (I should have known better). I tell you the Bali dogs have got as good memories as their human owners..amazing for people that may give them a treat LOL
