........to pick up stone for throwing. This usually results in these curs scampering away.
Some years ago, we were in the habit of having a few late night drinks at Jaya Pub in Seminyak. The dogs were usually out in chorus as we trudged back to Legian; we often pretended to pick up stones, with the usual result.
One night, a particularly nasty snarlatator seemed intent on having a chomp of us. He was coming out of a Gang (side-lane) across the road when I picked up a round rock and let fly. Fido bolted, looked over his shoulder at the rock bowling at Mach .7 towards him, he ducked right, the rock hit a dent in the lane and turned right also, copping him fair and square on the snout. Oh Joy!
To hear this nasty snarler whimpering into the distance made our week!
Shane Warne couldn't have done better.
Funnily enough, he did not come out to greet us, the next night.
We love most animals, but not when they wand to treat us as supper.
