Hi Kaye,
I am a 51 year old male and scuba dived with my son (22) 4 weeks ago.

I am a very poor swimmer but had a great time. We did the dive when we went on the Nusa Lembogan day tour, they gave us a 10 minute run down and stayed with us every second making sure we were o.k. It is 8 to 10 meters of water and very exstensive coral and fish veriety.
The dive lasted 40 minutes and cost AUD$65.00 each.

I know there is a dive school over in Bali that do a course where you get your accredited scuba diving ticket. I believe the cost was
AUD$350.00

The Nusa Lembogan day trip cost us AUD$69.00 and includes transfers,
a 1.5 hour boat ride to the island where the boat ties up to its own potoon where there are many water sport. There are three main boats/companies that operate. The Bounty ship, Bali Hai or the sail boat which is the cheapest. Bali Hai hosts the scuba diving but you can go with either of the boat companies and you go across to the Bali Hai on a small dingy.

It was well worth the dive with my son.

Bob
