Without thinking about it (I'm tired OK). A bit of one of those things which contradict each other whoops.
I suppose in my mind I perceive perhaps a greater risk of negative occurences coming into play in Bali than say (for example only) on the Gold Coast. Thats what I was trying to get at - anything can happen anywhere, yes, but perceived risk ultimately has a bearing on how you may feel about one situation or another. Actual risk, the reality of the situaiton, may be very different to the perceived risk.
That is to say that the perceived risk of say, getting into a car is reasonably insignificant to the average person, but the actual risk given road accident data, would probably be quite high.
I'm still going on my holiday and I intend to have an awesome time, but I would be lying if I said it was without some degree of trepidation.
