Have delayed posting this as wanted the results to be apparent.

If there is anyone interested in Botox, lip enhancement, IPL, dermabrasion etc, Miracle are very good (miracle-clinic.com) My friend had Botox and was thrilled (she has it done regularly). Apparently she likes it done a 'certain' way, which they followed exactly. About half what she would have paid in Aus.

I visited the Denpasar (some treatments have to be done there) clinic and Kuta clinic. Would say they are very professional and I saw them doing facials etc with masks on, great hair salon. I was considering IPL in Aus and had already priced it. It was 1,200,000 at Miracle for full face if anyone wants to compare. (See further down as to why I hopefully won't have to do it).

I had my hair straightened at Secret Garden (secretgarden-bali.com). I always get my hair cut there and got the straightening done on the spur of the moment. Cost 400,00 for short hair. I made the mistake of getting my hair cut when I arrived and getting the straightening done last day as you can't wet for 4 days. My hair is bleached foils and came out very dry, but two weeks down the track after a few treatments it is OK.

With hindsight I should have had cut after straightening to get rid of the dry ends. It also lightened my hair quite a bit.

Ryan also gave me an avocado creambath treatment tub to bring home but much as I love having a creambath I don't really think it does that much for your hair and preferred to buy something when I got home.

It is amazing having straight hair. My hair wasn't either curly or straight, and I used to straighten it with irons. It is just so straight now, it's incredible. I also told Ryan not to go all the way to the roots as I didn't want it too flat to my head and that seem to have worked. He applied about 2 inches from scalp and it looks straight and but still has 'body'.

Now to why I may not do IPL. My mother is in her 70's and has (had) quite a few solar dark spots on her face (I know there is a proper name for them). She had them checked and there was nothing to worry about but they looked awful, were dark and raised and she was considering laser to remove them.

I bought her some Biore Brilliant White System moisturizer (from the supermarkets) for around 20,000. It has an spf 18. The most amazing thing has happened...they've all gone, in less then 3 weeks. I just can't believe it!!!! Her skin looks so lovely now. I'm going to bath in it Lol. It is a full system, with cleansers, so I'll stock up next trip and try out for myself, as the reason I was considering IPL was pigment.

Previous to this the best product I have found is the Biokos peel. It does a lovely job, similar to Phytopeel, but only around 20,000. I like the whole Biokos range (available at Mataharis and probably Centro.

OK, enough of that subject!!! My husband was determined to find the best steak. Out of about 6 (can't eat steak every night) 2nd was Yutz's and top (still) was Rumours. Rumours also produced the best Crème Brulee (as assessed by me, and you can have that every night Lol), so was hands down the winner.

Slightly different JBR but hope it helps someone. If you are into aesthetics I think you could pay for your holiday in savings....can't be a bad thing!!

Sue;~)
