However, its interesting that they say one thing to you and another thing to aussies. We get told that they dont like dealing with Japanese and to an extent some Americans - they like the better money, but they dont like the "pay the first price so dont have to deal with people". I actually find that most americans are okay, and recently (on honeymoon to Thailand) found the most obnoxious tourists were not who I expected (wont mention in case I get howled down for being racist). And no, they weren't american, or australian.

What I meant to ask you is what you meant by "there are 2 kinds of aussies, those who go to bali and those who do not!" Interested in your response as I've never heard an aussie say this.

As for all the loud drunken rude aussies, I have heard the same stereotype about americans (but without the drunken part. There are stereotypes about everyone. It's unfortunate that people believe these, as I have found that americans are generally not loud and rude on holiday, just like the aussies are generally not loud and rude and drunk on holiday. :-)
