Two Clox in a Box

So, I guess like me you've all had people that have infallible sources in your ear all day about this package at the Paradiso.

All of my informants already seemed to know that something would happen again, so I kindly offered to call the AFP so that they could share their inside knowledge and help with the War on Terrorism, they all declined, strange that ;-)

It actually would have been good for them to speak to the AFP, Mick Keelty in particular, so that he could remind them about the Terrorist Cells that they are watching here in Australia. I'm sure that he also said that an attack here was highly probable, I'm sure my informants could tell him different though. Let's face it, they've got the inside running on Indonesia's problems without ever having left Australia, so they're bound to be able to help him with domestic terror threats.

My advisors have also reminded me on a regular basis not to take my large stash of drugs with me when I go, aaaand to put my bag inside a safe so that other drug dealers such as yourselves don't try and give me your stash to do with as I will when I arrive.
I assure them that I sell everything before I go to remove the temptation, as appealing as a death sentence can be. ;-)
I wonder how much the Porters would charge me to carry the safe with my bags inside. I'll have to get a quote on the next trip.
I'll also have to remember not to have a drink on the flight in case I forget the combination.

Two Clox in a Box did give me a worrying day though. Imagine all those at the Paradiso with early tours booked tomorrow. What'll they do now that the ‘Wake Up Call System' has been eliminated?
They may have to rely on the watch they bought on the beach this afternoon going off on time, once they figure out how to set the alarm that is.

Of course, my group of non-invasive infiltrators with their broadsheet advisors will tell me that they shouldn't be going on the tours anyway. ‘They'll steal the Thongs off ya feet while ya sit on the dunny if ya leave Kuta' But you and I know that's impossible when your are using a squat dunny ;-)
The other thing, which I hadn't known until they told me, was that the Balinese aren't actually the ones doing any of this, it's the Javanese that sail their boats over every day before heading back at night, and more importantly some of those Javanese come from Lombok as well.

Another piece of marvellous help they ‘The Bali Never' have given me is the realisation that I will have to pee in a jar every time I leave the hotel.
It's really wonderful to see that the toilet facilities are improving in Kuta.
I wonder if they help to shake as well as watch? I guess it'll make for a cheaper night out for some. ;-)

I guess at the end of the day we'll all be frustrated by the truth. Unfortunately, Bali is no safer than anywhere else, as much as we'd like to think different. Fortunately, it doesn't seem to be less safe than anywhere else either.....unless all of our wonderful advisors suddenly decide to go there....then I may consider a boycott, for sanity's sake.

BTW, I'm not trying to make light of the current situation...just make sense of it, if that's possible.
