You can get B & H Special Filters (if they're still called that). Still made by British American Tobacco, but British American Tobacco Indonesia, rather than British American Tobacco Australia.
You can also get Marlboro, Lucky Strikes and a few other familiar names, but they're all made locally and are very cheap.
There's nothing wrong with the product, but any time you smoke a brand other than your favourite it tastes a bit crappy, and you are likely to get a bit sick because there will be a different blend of poisons and it takes your body a week or so to adjust.
If you're just going for a quick trip, just grab a carton of duty-frees (and maybe get a non-smoking person to grab another one). It'll work out to $4-5 a pack, instead of $1, but it'll save you adjusting to new poisons in Bali, then adjusting again when you go home.
If you're going for a few weeks, forget the duty-free and pick a brand when you get there. Like I said, you may feel a bit sick at first, but a lot of people pick up some kind of sniffle for a few days when they arrive in Bali coz of the heat/humidity change, so you can always blame feeling a bit funny on that.
