Hiya,
do not be too alarmed I have contacted a friend in Bali who used to work at Kuta Lagoon and she is going to inspect for us as we will be there next month. We were only there in May and everything was great this was our fourth visit. We love the place and it is by no way anymore than 3 star but the staff are great and the only complaint we have about it is the bath towels need replacing. I will keep you informed.
