that Bali gold is softer than the gold we buy here. I bought a plain gold band - quite heavy and thick but unadorned, in Myang next to Mataharis last week and it cost US 150. But after one trip on the lazy river at Waterbom which has a pebbly base I noticed it was already scratched. So if you have your own gold, and the workmanship is the speciality over there, I'd certainly consider bringing it. I wouldn't wear my ring next to another gold ring as two different strengths of gold don't work together. One weakens the other if it rubs against it.
