Yes, you get clean towels every day, and clean sheets. I don't know any hotels where you don't get clean towels every day! The staff are pretty good. When we asked for something to be fixed, it was fixed promptly.

It's directly across the street from the beach. The hawkers are pretty good, in that once you say no, they believe you. When you get on the beach, turn left and walk for about 5 minutes to get to Sammie & Suzie's. There's bound to be a gathering of Forumites while you're there, so go meet and greet. It's a great location.

We preferred the pool at the front of the property (near the front desk) as it appeared to be cleaner. The rooms are a little tired, but perfectly serviceable. The pool down by the beach end of the property looked a little milky. That may have been cleaned up by now. It's in a great location if you like it fairly busy, and the shops across the street have great prices. The DVDs we bought in the bigger shop have all been excellent. If your breakfast is included, that means you get an American breakfast (or whatever else you fancy that doesn't cost any more than the American breakfast).

If you're energetic enough, walk to Kuta along the beach front. My knees don't work too well, so we caught taxis. Only 7000Rp ($1) from the hotel to Jl Saha Dewa (sp??) where there's great shopping. Watch the money changers down there, they're a real problem.

When you get to the Puri, will you please ask them if they've found my spectacles yet (LOL). Brand new specs, and they disappeared the first week. Still waiting to see if the insurance will cover them.
