We took our 8 month old and 8 year old children recently. We stayed at the Bali Hai Resort - great place for kids. We used the Kids' Club a couple of times towards the end as husband & I got sick. They were great and eldest had a ball. Baby stayed with friends till we felt better enough! We bought a stroller from Matahari's Dpt Store. though they are not ideal for the streets and footpaths - it was certainly a far easier thing to cope with than carrying a hot and sweaty child. Our daughter (8) did find all the walking a bit too much at the beginning. But we learnt that we didnt need to spend the whole day out shopping. Break it up into a relax around the hotel, shopping in the afternoon or even after dinner. The weather is easier for the kids to cope with late in the day.
I would take them again as it was a great family holiday and there is still so much more to see and do as a family.
