Hi, I went for 8 days and I took heaps of first aid kind of stuff - just in case - like dettol and tissues and panadol etc etc (against advice on the BTF I know!) and didn't use hardly anything and what is more found that you can buy it all over there cheaply and it is great fun shopping at the supermarkets there. We went to the supermarket at Centro - which is huge and Matahari's.
By way of clothes to be honest next time I will take only what I am wearing on the plane and go to Ketut's or the markets first thing the next day. Also I preferred to wear my Bali clothes over there - they are mostly all cotton and much more comfortable. But I will take a couple of pairs of bathers and perhaps an old beach towel because I didn't see too many around.
This time I packed about three outfits including the plane outfit and didn't wear hardly any of my "Australian" clothes. BF is 6' 7" and so took more than me and he didn't have a problem finding stuff and wish he'd taken less as well.
It seems weird when you're packing for an overseas trip and not taking anything but you can buy everything over there. Hope this helps and happy packing!
