I suppose it's almost certain that you and your partner have suffered unjustified discrimination from time to time and that's enough to make anyone wary.
Unfortunately, one of the earlier responses, although supportive of you being able to have a good time in Bali, was [to my mind] unnecessarily blunt. And it just went on from there.
I don't read every post on every thread, but it's been a while now since I've noticed anything which was unpleasantly homophobic. We used to have a few, including at least one who posted under at least three different names, but I think that Admin got rid of them.
Yes, as others have said, you and your partner will have no problems whatsoever enjoying yourselves in Bali.
Perhaps we all need to remember at times the saying attributed to the Native American people, "Walk a mile in another man's moccasins, before you make a judgement".
