hi,
the Padma hotel is at the beach end of Jl Padma in Legian.
it is a flash 5 star place and seems quite popular.
it is big, has a few restaurants and pools and the grounds are lovely but it is expensive.
I stay at the Legian Village which is a budget place up the same road.
It is in walking distance to Kuta but I dont know how far you consider walking distance to be, over there a short walk can be exhausting due to the heat.
Jl Padma is not a long road and Jl Legian is close, it runs from Kuta to Legian and goes on to Seminyak, Kerokoban etc.
I love staying there because it is close o everything without being in the thick of it in Kuta.
