Just come back from 29 days in Bali. As usual all good, weather great. Wont go into too much detail as this is our 15th trip and we go there on business so dont venture to far afield. Couple of things that are worth a mention though.

Went to Nusa Lembongan for 2 nights three days for R & R. What a disappointment. My suggestion to anyone going make sure the accommodation you choose has a swimming pool. The beach is discusting, one big seaweed farm at low tide totally un swimable. Also make sure the accommodation isnt next to any seaweed villages as the smell is horrible. We checked out one Villa called Lembongan Island Beach Villas which offered us a 2 bedroom villa with ensuites fully self catering (kitchen and home entertainment system where better than ours) for $100.00AUD per night. This was a special running as they havnt yet opened all the villas for business.

We used the bounty cruise as means of transport to the island which was great, however we were the only non asians on the boat, which isnt a problem but you can only pose so many times for photos. We were going to start charging 10,000 rupiah per photo LOL.

Went to the Barbque night at Bali rock twice totally reccommend the chicken steak with mushroom sauce. The drag queen competition is a laugh as well.

Our 2 favourite restaurants are Taman Sari (ask to sit around the pool outside) and 90 degrees (sit up stairs) both of these are on Poppies II. We stay the Hotel Indah every year, great staff, hotel is in an ok state but we tend to turn a blind eye to the renovations needed by choice. Its really relaxed and on our last night we had a huge water fight with the hotel staff and the manager was thrown into the pool (by my husband) the staff were totally impressed, she got over it... Wouldnt recommend this hotel to anyone thats up tight or expects a good nights sleep every night.

Until next time
