Tegallalang village. A long street full of wood carving workshops all selling direct at good prices with minimum bargaining. Beautiful rice terraces on the way there and only a short distance from Ubud. The name is regarded as a tongue twister. Amaze the locals by learning how to say it.
As another trip, in a long but interesting day you can see Klungkung [old heritage buildings], Padang Bai [combination of ferry port for Lombok and old Balinese fishing village], Candi Dasa and the round trip to Amed, passing Ujung on the coast road on the way up and Tirtagganga and magnificent mountain and rice terrace scenery on the inland road on the way back to Candi Dasa.
