was for ceremony, a big one, and this year its her turn to do the "opering" her words. I know I know, Ive heard it all before, and I know they can use offerings as an excuse, cause theyre human after all , arent they, trying to survive, just like everyone else.
She has a 16 year old son, who got a girl pregnant, and so lots of money and effort has gone into making things "right" with the gods since then, I guess this is where all the distress is coming from. Since then they have been married, had the baby (who is now 6 months old) and the two 16 year olds have had a huge fight resulting in the girl going back to her parents and my poor old friend has ended up with the baby, not that she minds, but now she cant go to work and so on and so on.
I thinks its about 2 mill rup, alot of money in anyones book and not something i can get my hands on willy nilly. But I do feel for her (maybe she can feel my empathetic heart beating)!!!! Oh geez!!!!
Yes I agree with you, in all my years of going to bali its only recently that I have become so involved with a couple of balinese, who were only distant acquaintances till now and it seems it might cost me alot of money.
