Hi Frank...we are *ducks* off to Bali in three weeks...sorry! But a little tip that may make your next trip closer. I have been selling off some of the 'clutter of a lifetime' on our online auction site here. Clothes that don't fit but are too nice to throw out; china given to me by great-aunts long dead; small appliances never used etc.
It is amazing what I, a hoarder by nature, am prepared to sell to make Bali a step closer. Also, it pleases my 'thrower-outer' husband immensely to see 'clutter' going out the door. I think of it as making space for the treasures of Bali that will be coming back in my suitcase.
For smaller, postable (and more obscure) items a national auction site reaches more people than a garage sale, and you get better prices. You can even list furniture for local buyers to consider. It is amazing what people will buy.
