oh dear, it does sound as if you had a dreadful time there.
I always stay at the same little budget hotel and have since 1976 so find it hard to relate to what you say. I cannot imagine ringing the front desk and not having a problem fixed immediately !
some of your report did make me smile at times, altho for you I am sure it was not a smiling matter !
glad you eventually got to stay somewhere lovely !
