Stayed there last October. My room was nice, and clean. Room service was prompt but a bit begrudging. The place is big and I certainly wouldn't call it warmly friendly... not unfriendly, just the place doesn't really have that Bali feel. The food is fine, but I would suggest getting out and about asap for meals... nothing special at Ramada. There are the standard beach sellers in front of the hotel near the pool. The pool area also includes hot and cold (really cold) spas, in=pool bar, restaurant/bar, etc.. There is a tennis court, gym, expensive "in-house" shop, etc..
There is a good money changer to the right as you leave the entrance, Mudi's Restaurant (friendly and reasonable prices/quality) a few steps further on, and a good mix of shops in the street around the next corner (if you are new be carefull of Lily's shop).
