Reminds me of the last time I was in Bali, and stayed at the Jayakata, where they did not supply tea and coffee making things. Off we went to Matahari and bought a electric jug for about $3A. Great, until I forgot it was not my cordless kettle at home and poured out the water, then put it down still switched on and empty. Needless to say i blew the fuses for the whole wing of the hotel! We decided to go out for a few hours.... and put the kettle in the bin! When we came back the room boy asked us if we had put the kettle in the bin. Here's me thinking I am about to get into trouble for blowing the fuses, but no, he just wanted to know if he could keep the blown up jug, which he was obviously going to repair!
