Day 2

Woke up and couldn't believe we were in the lovely warm weather compared to Perth right now...

Hubby went for an early morning swim in the pool then we all went to brekkie:

Breakfast: Included in the price at Kuta Beach Club and great start to the day...with selection of:

Cereal
Fresh Fruit
Fruit Juice
Tea/Coffee
Eggs cooked any style while you wait - scrambled, omellette, boiled, fried...if you can think of a way with eggs they will do it :)
Nasi Goreng
Mie Goreng
Daily changes to other hot options - eg banana fritters, corn fritters, pancakes, sausages, ham, bacon......just a tip they dont often have bacon but if you ask they will get you some freshly made every day.
Toast/Jam

At this early stage the idea of bacon and eggs for brekkie was great but when you have two eggs a day for 10 ten days...u do the math hahahah...my sister was saying she was egg bound by the end...can u imagine 7 of us adults at 2 eggs a day that's 140 eggs...scary scary thought and people wander why they get the runs in Bali...too many eggs hahahah!

Exchanged money at money changer right near hotel...next door to Ramayana hotel...very honest...exchange on first day 7200 (13 June) by the end of the holiday it was 7450 (23 June)

Walked over to Matahari and bought bits and pieces.

Had lunch around pool at hotel:

2 Mango Juices 12,000 each = $1.65 each
1 x Fish and Chips 35,000 = $4.80
1 x Chicken and Shrimp Fried Rice 25,000 = $3.45

$11.55 for lunch...woah last of the big spenders ;)

No guessing what 2 year old dear daughter had for lunch...yes Mcdonalds

Happy Meal - nuggets and drink and toy 16,500 = $2.30
Fries 5500 = 75 cents

Walked over to Matahari and bought bits and pieces and essentials for our stay.

Matahari Supermarket Shopping:

Notebook 28c
Barbie Pen 7500 = $1.05
Cold and Flu Tablets .16c a packet
4 cans of Sprite 11995 = $1.65
4 pack Imperial leather soap 5550 = 75c
Large Bintangs 11650 each = $1.60 each
Mens Spray on Deoderant $2.80 each
Shampoo $1.75
Pack choc kit kats $1.40
Beautiful smelling soap grapefruit and freesia .15c a bar
Ritz mini crackers .15cents a pack
Chilli roasted peanuts .75cents a pack
Roasted Cashews $2.06

Could have spent hours and hours in Matahari Supermarket....soaps, body sprays and scrubs so so so cheap. Loreal products much cheaper than home.

Spent time looking around and in the pool and then off for a walk to find somewhere for dinner.

Went to dinner at IMPALA SEAFOOD

Not far from Centro Shopping Centre....very impressive looking shopping centre.

Really enjoyed our meal and hubby said it was the best meal he had the whole time there ...not surprised at how much he ordered for himself...;)

Spring Rolls 15,500 = $2.15
Oriental Calamari 17,900 = $2.45
Grilled Garlic and Chilli Prawns these were like really big king prawns in the shell and lots of them 63,000 = $8.70
Local Fillet Steak came with wedges, vegetables and gravy 32,900 = $4.55
BBQ of mixed Sate 26,900 = $3.70
Nasi Goreng Chicken Style 20,500 = $2.85

Total bill $26.80 (10% tax)

Now this became a running joke the whole holiday as my hubby had the Spring rolls, mixed sate, grilled prawns and nasi goreng and he said 'wow great meal at $15 each but I kept reminding him...no yours was about $20 and mine was about $7 but he kept insisting the whole time it was $15 each.

So very enjoyable meal and couldn't believe the great prices compared to AUS..u would have paid at least $28 just for the prawns here if not more......

to be continued
