We went with Bali Adventure Tours (sorry can't remember which river, but they can tell you). Went with 6 kids aged from 5 to 10 years old. The 5 & 7 years olds were a bit scared to start with, but enjoyed themselves in the second half of the trip. The others (7, 10 & 10) loved it! Have heard that going during the wet season is faster and more scary, so might not be good then for kids. Your 14 year old should have a ball. The worst part is the steps!
